For 8 years now, we have been regular speakers at various professional conventions, conferences, and events. Our primary objective is to educate the market and bring awareness to available solutions and technologies that are accessible to everyone but may have remained unnoticed.
Consequently, during each event, our emphasis is placed on delivering in-depth insights and showcasing tangible outcomes derived from the implementation of specific projects, rather than presenting non-informative generalities.
All of this started in 2015 with the renowned Convention for Milling Technology held annually in Detmold, Germany. For over 70 years, the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Getreideforschung e.V. (Association for Grain Research) has organized the Conference on Milling Technology in collaboration with the Max Rubner Institute in Detmold. This conference serves as a platform for sharing new insights and addressing current topics in the field of milling. The conference participants include representatives from the milling industry, mill and plant construction, suppliers, as well as research and consulting professionals. In addition, we also participated in the Agricultural Conference, where the presented topics covered the Technological Boom in Agriculture and Cutting-Edge Technology in the industry: Machinery Trends, Technological Innovations, Digital and Precision Technologies in Agriculture, Agronomic Information Solutions, and Information Management (Data Collection, Processing, and Decision Support).
During our presentation, we emphasized the challenges and issues affecting the profession, highlighting that many of them can be traced back to the quality of available data, including:
- Outdated or missing information
- Inadequate documentation
- Time constraints and associated costs
- Compatibility issues
Furthermore, we discussed the insufficiency of relying solely on 2D data in today’s world, where quick and accurate decision-making is crucial.
On another occasion, we were invited to a unique conference, which was held for the first time, with a specific focus on maintenance and overhaul. The primary objective of this event was to initiate a process of communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the industry. It aimed to foster an open and transparent discussion about the challenges, seeking to determine the necessary actions and measures to address the issues surrounding maintenance, major repairs, and ultimately, ensuring the safety of production.
With thought-provoking and practical presentations, well-structured professional programs showcasing practical solutions, and active participation from attendees, the conference successfully achieved its goals.
During our presentation, we highlighted the advantages of utilizing 3D BIM models, specifically emphasizing their role in supporting facility and asset management as well as operational tasks. We emphasized the significance of acquiring proper knowledge, as its absence can pose significant challenges to all project participants. The speakers and participants at the conference agreed that inaccuracies in technical documentation and ineffective change management can result in recurring errors, time wastage, and ultimately, prolonged operational delays.
